Who knew no-makeup selfies could cause such controversy?
There are so many different takes on the new No-Makeup selfie trend.
There are the articles that tell us they have raised millions of dollars for Cancer Research, Other articles that say they are raising nothing and just "making lives a "little bit harder" for cancer patients" (See photos above). Then there are the articles taking advantage of celebrities that have joined in "See her Bare Face" (Photos above).
Personally, I don't believe the people taking these selfies are doing anything wrong. They see their friends posting photos with no makeup, with tags raising awareness for Cancer, why wouldn't you join in? It's just a selfie with a tag right?
Addressing the "no bravery in no makeup selfies" topic, from the photos my friends have posted 0 have claimed to be "brave" for doing it. Now obviously I can't speak for everyone that has joined in, I haven't seen all the no-makeup selfies that have been posted around the world.
For the most part, these people are doing it with good intentions, their hearts are in the right place. They just want to help raise awareness and money for Cancer.
I don't know too much about this new trend, just what I've read online through google searches. If you have information you think I should know, or if you think I've been misinformed, let me know!
